NOVEMBER FOTM: @RachelDena (twitter)

I’ve watched Days of Our Lives for my entire adult life and I’ve seen many talented and attractive actors come and go. However, from the moment that the character Daniel walked into the park and sat down with Chelsea, I felt that Shawn jumped out of the screen at me and I needed to see more of his work and know more about him. I proceeded to watch everything that I could find that he had been in and I joined Twitter hoping to find out more about him. Shawn finally tried his hand at Twitter and I “followed” him that very day. I also went to my first soap event ever in Detroit and was able to meet him in person. People asked me afterwards if it was a let down to meet him. Actually it was the opposite. Shawn has a way of making everyone who he interacts with feel special and important. That is a rare gift. You even see it when he is acting because his emotions are palpable and his energy jumps off of the screen.

There is no question that he is the most handsome man anywhere but what is so special is that he is also beautiful on the inside. He has a good heart, he feels strongly about his friends, family and profession and it is clear that he cares about his fans as well. I am so grateful to have gotten to know him a bit and I am also grateful for all of the friends that I have made on Twitter because of Shawn and Days of Our Lives. This group of people (you know who you are) has become a very important part of my life and I am very blessed to have found all of you. Thank you Shawn for being the very special person that you are and for sharing your gifts with the world!
